Lore[]
There was a time when neither darkness nor light ruled this world, and in that time, before the coming of the gods, the Dawnstar and the Duskstar watched over the world in balance. A proud race of dragons, the Twilight brood, dwelt across all reaches of the world, and Drew their magical strength from the twin stars.
All of would change though, when the Dawnstar was set afire by the god Hyperion to become Sol and the Twilight brood, however, were passed over by the god’s blessing, those beyond the reach of Hyperion’s new star. Worse, the Duskstar was dying, its light fading to a pale, cold glow.
When it died, the Twilight brood would soon cease as well. When the Duskstar finally waned and was reborn as Luna, the Twilight brood could draw no more strength from its pale face. They too changed; growing pale and cold within, becoming the Lunaveil dragons we know, today. They no longer saw the Solar brood as kin or friend, and they made for war.
The newly born Solar brood fell upon the Lunaveil brood, and at the new borders between dark and light, vicious battles were fought. The constant battle whittled their once-great numbers into scarcity, and now the Lunaveil brood is only seen in the skies of the Eternal Lands.
Where the Riders find such mounts is a closely guarded secret, passed only from master to student.
