Tips[]
- Patience is a virtue - All of a Hellfire's abilities do damage over time by lighting your foes on fire. Take your shots and bide your time, wading into the fray may might kill you, but lightning your enemies aflame while you flee to fight again will turn the tide in your favor, over time.
- Divide and conquer - A Hellfire is no good in fight against multiple enemies, but agains a single enemy. with the right rider, a Hellfire is indomitable.
- Fight like a sniper - Fireball is a devastating ability, when carefully aimed, with a long range. Don't dive into the fight, instead hang back and pick your targets. Fireball is also useful for picking off riders as they try to retreat from battle.
- Pair with Skyburst - Since a good Hellfire rider will stand back from the main conflict anyway, the Arrow Storm ability is a powerful compliment to your "death from the afar" arsenal, while Spread Shot will give you some versatility in a close quearters fight.
Lore[]
Born on the fires of the Cinderfang volcanoes, the Hellfire are the scourge of the Ashen Plains - the very reason that blighted and blasted badlands exist, for it marks the region around their nests that have been hunted out of all that walks or flies and all that sparkles and shines.
As one of the oldest broods in the land, the Hellfire are the stuff of myth and legend. Their notorious lust for gold is more than the stuff of the children's tales. These treacherous creatures are as likely to kill a man as a morsel as they are for his gold and armor on his back. While this greed makes them easy to coax into the battles above, it also speaks to the character of the rider: Riders of the Hellfires tend to be crafty, clever things who plot and scheme to accomplish their goals as often as they fight fairly.
Always look to the edge of the battle with a wary eye, for it is there you will find the Hellfire, calmly picking the next victim of his fires from the crowd.
