Tips[]

  • Stay mobile, strike with surprise - Your Fear Swarm ability does not need to be aimed, this allows you to stay mobile and avoid enemy fire while providing non-stop support.
  • Burn them with fire! - Use your Flames of Terror ability to break up knots of Dragonriders, or to repel those that are too close for comfort.

Lore[]

Lurking in the shadowed places deep in the darkest reaches of the heart is the fear that brings the Nightmare. A rare brood, the Nightmare are thought by some to be demons, merely taking dragon form to revel in endless battle. if this is so, one must wonder why they allow themselves to be yoked by a Rider, or perhaps the Rider is merely another victim of the Nightmare's thirst for mortal fear.

The Nightmare dragon summons the worst visions and doubts from the mind of its target, and uses them as weapons. With these mad dreams it assaults foes relentlessly, wearing even the bravest Rider down to a wreck of shuddering weakness.

Even those that choose the Nightmare to ride are often driven mad by the wild and chaotic visions granted to them by their otherworldly mounts.

It is, however, when the Nightmare coalesces the dread of endless battles into seething flames of terror that ignites their wings, that they are at their most terrible. The mere sight of the Nightmare aflame inspires fear, and its touch is doom.
